Ghanaians debate John Mahama's chances of winning election petition
In the coming days, Ghanaians would be glued to their television sets as they participate in the election petition before the Supreme Court of Ghana submitted by John Mahama and the NDC.
In this particular case, John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are the petitioners while President Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and Jean Mensah-led Electoral Commission (EC) are the respondents.
Social media has been awash with many debates surrounding the petition with many fancying the suspense and back and forth that is soon to be witnessed.
Among many other things, some Ghanaians on social media have already started debating the chances of NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama.
Today, YEN.com.gh brings you the views of some Ghanaians on social media over the chances of ex-president Mahama winning the election petition.
This is in reaction to a post YEN.com.gh made on Facebook which sought to ask our readers if they thought John Mahama had a chance to win the election petition.
Dhe Eya commented: "So those who are saying God this God that,in 2013 was Akuffo Addo worshiping satan ,stop bringing God's name in politics."
Joseph Nii Tetteh Okine had this to say: "Yes because his petition is different from that of Nana Addo in 2012 ... that's why he will win his case and this has cause a confusion by both the E.C and the Npp and they are calling on the court to throw the petition but it's not so, so we the citizens we will observe and see the errors made by the E.C to rig the election"
Alhassan indicated that Mr Mahama would lose the petition.
Forster said the status quo was not going to change with the election petition.
Sadiq feels Mahama has a good chance but he added a caveat to his comment.
Amuzu also claimed John Mahama had a very good chance of winning the election petition.
Azure saw no way for Mahama with regard to his petition.
Israel said Mahama would find it difficult unseating a ruling government with his petition.
There were many such differing views in the comment section with some loyalists of Mahama seeing him coming out victorious in the petition with some thinking otherwise.
