Actress Akuapem Poloo has accused comedian DKB of cheating her out of money meant for her.
In a new video posted online today, Thursday, April 29, 2021, Poloo stated that DKB, known professionally as Derrick Kwabena Bonney, took money on her behalf when she was in prison.
Poloo mentioned a woman had given 4,000 cedis to DKB to be given to her. However, the woman was angry because the actress didn't call to express gratitude, and this is because she had no knowledge any such money was given to DKB.
"So I picked up my phone. I called DKB. And as I was thinking maybe he was busy so he was going to return my call till now, he has not returned my call," revealed Poloo.
It will be recalled that DKB responded angrily to claims that he did not consult the management of Poloo before taking donations on her behalf.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, he lashed out and questioned Poloo's manager if he is a real one because of his actions and inactions.
The comedian put out a message soliciting funds for the actress. Following that, Poloo's manager stated in an interview with TV3 that DKB did not inform them before making that decision.
"How do you manage someone and you don't even her phone number. You don't even know the last two, three numbers. Does that make you a manager?" DKB clapped back in a self-recorded video.
The management of Poloo distanced itself from donations being received by DKB on behalf of the actress.
In a video seen by YEN.com.gh on TV3's official page on Twitter, the manager complained that DKB did not inform them before going ahead to spearhead the collection of funds for Poloo.
According to him, Brown has a management, and whatever help anyone wants to give should come to the management and not through an individual.
