Jordan Ayew scores opening goal vs Chad
Jordan swept home from a sleek move from the team, connecting from a Mohammed Kudus pass to open the scoring for the game.
His strike against Les Sao takes his tally to six goals in seven outings. He is just behind Mohamed Salah, who boasts seven goals after he scored in Egypt's 2-0 win against Ethiopia, per Super Sport.
Meanwhile, Gabon's Dennis Bouanga, who scored a hat-trick against Seychelles on Wednesday, September 3, leads the top scorer's chart with an impressive tally of eight goals.

After Ayew’s early strike, Ghana had multiple chances to put the game to bed but squandered each one.
Chad, however, grew stronger after the break, making the contest more physical and using fresh legs to push the Black Stars back.
Coach Raoul Savoy brought on Aziz Tchaouana just before the hour mark to inject energy, followed by Hamed Amine as the hosts committed more men forward.

In response, Otto Addo made a double substitution after the 70th minute, introducing Christopher Bonsu Baah and Kamaldeen Sulemana before later replacing Kudus with Osman Ibrahim.
Despite the changes, the four-time African champions failed to find the cushion of a second goal.
According to CAF Online, that wastefulness proved costly.
In the final minute of regulation time, Celestine Ecua slipped into space and latched onto Mbangossoum’s pass, slotting home the equaliser to send the stadium into raptures and deny Ghana a fifth consecutive win in Group I.

Sharing his perspective on Ghana’s frustrating draw, Fitman Jaara of the Daily Guide Network and Focus FM told YEN.com.gh:
“This result is very disappointing and hard to accept, especially given the number of chances we created. Yes, the pitch may have played a part, but Otto Addo also failed to manage the game well, particularly in the closing stages.
"His substitutions came too late, which meant the players had little time to make an impact. This [1-1 draw] simply shouldn’t have happened.
"That said, the team must regroup and show resilience to deliver the needed result against Mali.”
What is the current standings in Group I?
The draw leaves the Black Stars, who touched down in Accra on Friday, September 5, on 16 points, three ahead of Madagascar, who sit second with 13.
Check out the standings:
Mali, Ghana’s next opponents on Monday, September 8, are in third with 12 points, level with Comoros in fourth.
With nine points still up for grabs, the group remains finely balanced.
