Gov't Retrieves GH¢38.9m From GYEEDA, NSS Corruption Scandals
President John Dramani Mahama has revealed at the second high level conference on the national anti-corruption action plan in Accra that government has retrieved about 38.9 million cedis from all corrupt officials of the National Service Scheme, the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) and also the Youth Employment.
Touching on the advances made in tackling the corruption at the National Sercice Secretariat, President Mahama explained several amount of monies have so far been retrieved by the state.
Also on the controversial GYEEDA scandal, the President revealed that officials including the former CEO, Abuga Pele are being prosecuted adding that rapid investigations of other persons implicated in the GYEEDA affair had been concluded and are pending prosecution.
