I met Gh¢89 in NPP's account - Afoko

Suspended national chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Afoko, says his administration met a paltry Gh¢89 in the official account of the main opposition party.

He told Africa Watch magazine that he was axed because he had wanted to introduce lot of reforms to the party, especially regarding how its finances were managed.

Mr Afoko, according to the report, alleged that individuals loyal to the party’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, were running parallel accounts which were not accounted for.

He said at one point when the party’s official account depleted, a separate account had about $48,000.
