20 injured in Accra church building collapse

- A church building collapse at Gbawe Borla in Accra has injured about 20 congregants

-Three critically injured members of the chuch, the Christ Life Minstry, have been referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital

- The accident occurred during the heavy rainstorm that hit the capital on Sunday

The heavy rainstorm that hit Accra on Sunday has aided the collapse of a church building at Gbawe Borla in the Weija Constituency of Accra, YEN.com.gh understands.

The accident injured about 20 members of the church, mostly women and babies, according to a report by starrfmonline.com.

17 of the injured were being treated at the Ga South Municipal hospital, popularly known as Akawe, as at the time of reporting.

Three church members whose injuries were critical had also been referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The injured are said to be suffering mainly from various fractures, except one who is reported to be unconscious.
