Prophet Roja, who rose to prominence after seemingly predicting the death of Ghana’s defence minister, Edward Omane Boamah, said he had foreseen between two to four by-elections ahead of Ghanaians, indicating the current MPs would lose their seats either through death or incapacity.

“Let's pray because we have about 4 by-elections ahead of us, which I'm praying about. Danger lies ahead of us, which is why we need to pray very strongly. The future is very ominous, so everyone should pray,” he said.

Sports Obama asked the man of God if he had informed the MPs involved, but he said he had received so many threats for his former prophecies that he was no longer interested in doing that.

“I have received a lot of threatening messages for my prophecies, so now I spend a lot of my energy praying for protection. I have given my prophecy; let those who have ears listen to what I have said,” he added.

Blogger blasts Prophet Roja over doom prophecy

In an interview with YEN.com.gh, blogger Samuel-Clement Enoku slammed Prophet Roja and other 'doom' prophets of his ilk for their constant negative visions.

“It’s interesting how men of God in Ghana, including De-Lighter Roja, only see doom and not good things coming to this country. Why can’t they see good things coming? Well, death is inevitable, and everyone will die, so what is the big deal about four MPs dying? What if it’s their time to depart the world? I believe these prophecies are just mind games used by these men of God for clout!” he said.

Following the September 2 election, which was won by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prophet Roja shared a video celebrating the fulfilment of his pre-election prediction.
