Popular Ghanaian pastor Bishop Johnson Adu-Boahen has challenged the validity of his colleague, Apostle Dr Isaac Owusu-Bempah's prophecy regarding the 2026 NPP presidential primaries.

During a church service with his congregation on Sunday, September 28, 2025, the founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International claimed to have received a concerning prophecy about the ideal candidate, who could secure a massive electoral victory for the NPP during the 2028 elections.
Apostle Isaac Owusu-Bempah warned the opposition party against choosing a certain candidate.
He said the party’s loss in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections was not a fluke but due to their choice of candidate and ignoring certain spiritual directions.
The pastor also claimed that the NPP would continue to lose future general elections if it chose the same candidate and did not make any changes.
Bishop Adu calls out Owusu-Bempah over prophecy
In a video he shared on his official TikTok page, Prophet Johnson Adu-Boahen claimed that Apostle Isaac Owusu-Bempah's prophecy was inaccurate.
He noted that his colleague was sharing the viewpoints of an individual speaking out of pain or only concerned about their personal interests, remarking:
"The prophecy is not true. You are speaking the language of an individual speaking out of pain or their interest. He [Owusu-Bempah] is not a liar, but what he is saying is not true. It can never happen. Does it mean that someone he would choose for the NPP will win power in 2028? "
Prophet Adu-Boahen also threw a challenge to Apostle Dr Owusu-Bempah to determine if he could help the New Patriotic Party (NPP) win the next elections.
He noted that the actions of the previous government, rather than those of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, were responsible for the NPP's heavy defeat in the 2024 general elections.
He claimed that the previous Nana Akufo-Addo government's mistreatment of numerous clergymen also played an important role in the party's defeat, saying:
"If Ghanaians would agree, we should believe Owusu-Bempah's prophecy and let him pick the best candidate from the NPP members who will go to him. I will also let the NDC hold their primaries. We will both pray for our respective candidates and see who will win."
"What he is saying is not true. It will never happen. They [the NPP] didn't lose last year because of Bawumia. It was the previous government's actions towards the pastors who prayed for them, which angered Ghanaians and pushed God to cause their embarrassing defeat in the elections."
Bishop Adu-Boahen claimed that the candidates vying for the NPP flagbearer position would all lose the general elections if they competed against their NDC counterparts.
