On Wednesday, the Dawson’s Creek alum stepped out for the Janelle Monáe concert in Los Angeles, where he was photographed alongside the Oscar-winning actress and other friends.

However, the two actors didn’t appear to be cosying up or canoodling with one another.

The two celebrities are now going through a breakup.

Jackson’s estranged wife, Jodie Turner-Smith, filed for divorce earlier this month.

As for Lupita, 40, the Black Panther actress had been romantically linked to Selema Masekea.

Why did Lupita and Masekea's love affair fail?

They went public with their relationship in December 2022, and she last posted a birthday tribute to Masekea at the end of August.

The US-based actress announced their breakup on Instagram on Thursday.

Part of the lengthy post read:

"At this moment, it is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust. I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception. I am tempted to run into shadows and hide, only to return to the light when I have gained my strength enough for me to say, 'whatever, my life is better this way'."
