Quick Credit and Investment Micro-Credit Limited officials have been invited for questioning by the Data Protection Commission for breaching data protection laws.
Hisense Ghana Limited and Marwako Fast Food also had officials questioned for breaching data protection laws.
The Commission’s action was in response to a customer’s complaint regarding privacy breaches caused by the company.
The firm has been accused of publishing the names of defaulting loan customers in the public domain without obtaining proper consent.

This has been noted as a violation of the Data Protection Act 2012 (843).
In light of the allegations, the Data Protection Commission summoned company officials.
Speaking to the press, the Director for Regulatory and Compliance at the Commission, Quinton Akrobeto, said a complaint was filed by a lawyer representing one of the company’s clients.
“What they do is harass their customers, go to their homes and churches, and allow the whole world to know that they are owing them, which is against their privacy," Akrobeto said.
Officials of Mawrko and Hisense were also picked up for questioning over possible privacy breaches.
