Meru University Student Gifted Brand News Shoes, Clothes After Plight To Upgrade Wardrobe Went Viral

A young student from Meru University is excited after well-wishers who saw his passionate appeal through police officer Sammy Ngare offered to buy him clothes.

Where is Omwari Secondary School?

Brian Areri is on a long holiday from university, and the hardworking young man took it upon himself to ask for a teaching job at Omwari Secondary School in Kisii county.

Although that was good news to him, there was a catch: he did not have official clothes for his new job. He contacted Ngare, who announced his plight to the public.

"Today, my younger brother Cyrus picked him up from school and took him to Kisii town.They met Afande Moses who decided to buy him clothes from top to bottom," said Ngare.

Ngare raises KSh 21,000 for Areri

"I received KSh 21,000 yesterday, and I know this will help the boy as well. Another friend called Naomi who sells clothes in Kisii has bought the teacher vests, shirts and boxers. Someone also promised sport shoes that would be picked later," added Ngare.

While thanking Kenyans, Ngare said they were looking for a new house near the school where the orphaned boy would reside.

"I have a two month's rent balance for two months to help him when he returns to campus," said the officer.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke in an interview, Ngare said someone paid rent for two months, and the KSh 21,000 was meant for his clothes.

"As his guardian, I knew he would go back to school, and the money would help to settle him. At the moment, he has new clothes and two pairs of new shoes. I got a small house for him and yesterday I paid rent for three months," said the beloved philanthropist.
"He will get food in school. I got him a small mattress and blanket, and now I have a balance of KSh 10,000 that will help him. Whne he gets his salary, he will sustain himself," added Ngare.
