Most men were up in arms, arguing that single mums had been overtaking their special day for years and yet they respect Mother's Day. They asked single mums to keep off their days.

Some women called the mum out for allegedly teaching the child that she did not need a father and yet she might find another man in future who might take care of both of them.

The unfazed single mum took them head-on with insults, laughing emojis and bluntly telling them off.

Reactions from netizens:

"Father's Days is fathers day. It's not a day for single mothers to praise themselves on how they brought up their child/ren alone."

Samantha:

"I appreciate your efforts as a mum. I know how hard it is to raise a child, you deserve the flowers every single day. But it's wrong to channel your negative sentiments down to the child.A good daddy can come around one day and fill the gap, don't deny the child that opportunity."
