An Indian man living in the US has revealed he struggles to find a partner despite being financially stable.
Man desperate for love
In a post he shared on Reddit.com, the man said he is frustrated as all his friends are happily married with families. He said the previous women he dated before were his close friends, and his last relationship was four years ago.
The single man said he has turned to the gym, where he spends much time relieving stress.
"I'm at a decent job, earn around KSh 21,000,000 pa. Have wonderful friends, all of them married, am the last one standing. I envy all of them. They have families of their own. Even though I meet them quite often and have fun, I feel lonely at almost all times. I hit the gym to vent my sadness, fit enough, and have an active lifestyle, but it is just that I do not know how to pick up girls. All my previous girlfriends were my mutual friends, and I think I just got lucky there. But now, with all of my friends married, it feels like I am at a dead end," he said.
He asked for tips on approaching women, hoping to meet his missing rib.
"Do American girls even consider dating an Indian guy? How would you all suggest I approach if I like someone?" he posed.
Reacting to the man's post, many netizens shared similar experiences, urging him not to hurry.

"Yes, but it's very rare to see Indian families be accepting of other races other than white women or white men. I know this may be a stereotype, but it's just what I've seen of others and also what experienced when I was a child with them. I find some of your attractive, but I don't shoot my shot nor do I expect to be approached by you. Good luck!"

"Have a life of your own. Having a partner isn't a prerequisite to enjoying life or having fun. I'm not saying you should give up entirely, but if you learn to have fun and enjoy life on your own, it'll put you in a much healthier place to meet someone but will also make you a lot more self-sufficient should it never happen."
