Mum Who Married Man 21 Years Younger Compares Marriage To Winning Lottery
- Michelle Rinella, 54, was married to a man 11 years her senior, but he was "terribly rigid," which made the experience boring
- The divorced mother of four met 33-year-old Brandon Graham online and fell in love with his looks
- When she asked him how old he was, he replied, "Old enough to make you happy," and he was right
Michelle Rinella, a 54-year-old psychologist from Texas, has captured hearts online with her story of finding love with Brandon Graham.
The divorced mother of four, who re-entered the dating scene, defended her relationship with the 33-year-old truck driver despite their 21-year age gap.
Michelle shared that while men her age "couldn't keep up," younger men in their 20s were also not her preference until Brandon messaged her online.
She texted back asking him how old he was, only for him to reply with, "Old enough to make you happy?" He was right.
According to The Mirror, the smitten woman described their connection as immediate and fiery.
Michelle also emphasized Brandon's emotional vulnerability, which she found refreshing compared to the perceived rigidity of older men.
Having been married to someone 11 years her senior, Michelle believes the younger age gap 'creates passion.
She noted that when they met on their first date, her first thought was that Brandon was even more handsome than in the pictures.
"He is young, fit, beautiful, vital, and fun. I wasn't finding that with the 50-year-old men. To him, I am wise and established while still being attractive," she started.
Initially facing judgmental stares from others, Michelle and Brandon found strength in their bond.
They viewed it as a source of passion and motivation to fight for their relationship.
Winning the lottery
Michelle admits that she got into the relationship feeling "unhopeful", but now their love feels like a win-win situation.
"For both of us, it just feels like winning the lottery, everything we had been looking for, so that creates an amazing level of passion," she asserted.
She described Brandon's predecessor as "terribly rigid" adding that it was a boring dating experience she couldn't keep doing.
Now married for two years, Michelle and Brandon share a life filled with work, caring for Brandon's 13-year-old son, and enjoying dinner together.
"I think the thing about the age gap that made this relationship work is that the age gap creates passion," she continued.
Despite uncertainties about the future, they focus on living in the moment and enjoying their time together, feeling like they've hit the jackpot in love.
