"It Has Giant TV": Okada Man Who Quit School Builds Fine House with Giant TV & Lovely Furniture, Photos Emerge

Kiambu County - A Kiambu okada rider has narrated how he managed to build a lovely Mabati house that cost him over KSh 1 million (GH¢80,760.91).

The man from Muguga, who identifies himself as Kahii Ga Cucu, narrated that he was raised in a humble background, being that his parents passed on. He and his brother were left under the care of his grandmother, who also died as he was in college.
Speaking exclusively to Kenya's Tuko.co.ke, the man narrated that shortly after his grandmother's death, he faced financial constraints and he had to drop out of college.
"This is when I started working as a boda boda rider (okada rider) because I have a brother whom I had to take care of. I was at first employed as a boda boda rider before I managed to buy a second-hand motorcycle," he narrated.
While working as an okada rider, he started purchasing iron sheets to build his own home.
Having been raised in challenging conditions, Kahii wanted the security of having a home he could call his own.
"It may be a Mabati house, but I actually spent over a million because it has a specific design, as you can see. I also furnished it with quality furniture and appliances to give me the comfort that I desired as a child," he said.
The rider is an employer, having bought three more bikes that his employees are operating.
Giving back to the community
Kahii is also into giving back to the community, and he started an initiative to feed street children twice a week.

"I have known the pain of going hungry, and so I use my time on Fridays and Mondays to feed street children. I have also managed to have others go home and had other women living on the streets get rental houses," he said, adding that this gives him fulfillment in his life.
Wife of keke rider builds house with her savings
Meanwhile, popular Nigerian website Legit.ng previously reported that the wife of a keke rider had built a house.
Maryann Anyango could not hide her joy as she explained how she had saved up the money to build the mud-walled house for her family.
The mother said she started with iron sheets for five years, but due to financial constraints, she could not begin the construction process immediately.
"During the five years, I saved money, and we started building in December. I actually had a previous house, but I now wanted a big one that could accommodate me and my family, which is why I started saving for this new house," she said.
