A Ghanaian footballer has tragically lost his life after drowning in a pool.
Salifu Okacha plays for AS Fan in the Niger Premier League is reported to have died after he dived into the pool to swim with his teammates.

The full details of his death is currently unknown, but he is reported to have drown after diving into the pool.
Salifu Okacha previously played for Nania FC and was actually part of the team that emerged as the first lower division side to win the MTN FA Cup in 2011.

He was also a former player of Ghanaian sides Wa All Stars and Tamale Utrecht before moving to play in Niger.
Okocha was a member of the Nania FC side that won the MTN FA Cup in 2011 by defeating Asante Kotoko in the final.
