Black Stars coach who qualified Ghana to the first World Cup received GHC2.4 million
Chairman of the FIFA Normalisation Committee, Dr. Kofi Amoah has revealed that former Black Stars coach, Ratomir Dujkovic was reward with $500,000 an equivalent of GHC 2.4million after qualifying Ghana to the 2006 World Cup.
He made the revelation when the committee met the media for interaction on the status of Ghana Football.
“Coaches were charging beyond $16K which was the highest we could pay at that time. We called Dujkovic, who was then coaching Rwanda, told him we need him but we could only pay $16K a month.

“But we told him if he is able to qualify us, he will be entitled to $500K and he did it,” Dr. Amoah told the media at the maiden meet-the-press session of the Normalization Committee.
Ghana toppled South Africa, Uganda, Congo and Cape Verde to qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup staged in Germany. – This is the first time the Black Stars qualified for the mundial.
Meanwhile, a member of the Committee, Kofi Duah Adonteng, did not take kindly to a journalist who questioned his lateness to the Committee’s maiden press conference on Wednesday.
Agitated that the journalist, Ekow Asmah, had the courage to question his lateness and also remind him that it “sets a bad example,” Kofi Duah Adonteng shouted at him to “keep quiet.”
The lawyer and former Managing Director of Ghana Post, who had apparently arrived an hour late to the maiden press conference of the Normalization Committee, went on to describe the journalist’s concerns as stupid.
