Photos Emerge As Stranded and Drained Super Eagles Players Remain at Libyan Airport

Photos have emerged showing the frustrated Super Eagles as they are left stranded at the Al Abaq Airport in Libya.
More than 14 hours after they arrived in the country, the Nigerian national team remained at the airport as they were refused entry.
Some of the Nigerian players have taken to social media to decry the ordeal, with captain William Troost-Ekong threatening a boycott.

Punch reports that Ekong shared photos of the exhausted players, with Samuel Chukwueze and Calvin Bassey sleeping on the bench.
The match venue is estimated to be about two hours away from Al Abaq and Ekong raised concerns over the possibility of travelling by road.
The defender reiterated that the Super Eagles would not accept travelling anywhere by road, as they were now left with a tough decision.
He wrote on X:
"12+ hours in an abandoned airport in Lybia [Libya] after our plane was diverted whilst descending. The Lybian [Libyan] government rescinded our approved landing in Benghazi for no reason. They’ve locked the airport gates and left us without phone connection, food or drink. All to play mind games.
Having lost to Nigeria in the first leg, the Mediterranean Knights will do everything to grab all three points in Benina to stay in the AFCON qualifying race.

Osimhen laments inhumane Super Eagles treatment
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Victor Osimhen released a statement on social media over the inhumane treatment of Super Eagles players at the Al Abaq airport in Libya.
The team have been held hostage at the airport since their arrival last night after Libyan authorities redirected their flight to a remote station a few hours from landing.
Osimhen has broken his silence on the incident with a statement on his Instagram story, condemning the act and calling on CAF to duly address the inhumane act.
