Injury scare for Fatawu Issahaku
Fatawu Issahaku lit up the King Power Stadium with another fine performance on Friday night, but the evening ended on a worrying note for Leicester City fans.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian winger, who missed a significant part of last season through injury, limped off late in the game and was replaced by Wout Faes.
His visible discomfort immediately raised concerns for both club and country, especially with Leicester counting on his form to drive their promotion campaign and Ghana preparing for important international fixtures.
Ghanaian broadcast journalist Joel Acheampong has expressed his delight at seeing Abdul Fatawu Issahaku return to form, hoping his resurgence continues.
“Fatawu is finally showing the quality we all know he has,” Acheampong told YEN.com.gh.
"It’s great to see him back on track, especially after everything he’s been through.”
He also recalled how the winger was on the verge of joining Chelsea before his career was derailed by a serious ACL injury.
“At one point, he was very close to signing for Chelsea,” Acheampong revealed. “But that injury changed everything. I’m just glad he’s bounced back stronger.”
