In just two Premier League appearances, the Ghanaian has set up two goals and thrilled supporters with dazzling dribbles that have quickly made him a player to watch.
Although his first Spurs goal is still pending, his influence is already undeniable.
Mohammed Kudus' pre-match rituals
As Tottenham prepared for their Premier League clash against Antoine Semenyo’s Bournemouth, Kudus arrived at the stadium looking composed in a club-branded cardigan.
Yet one detail caught everyone’s attention. In his right hand, along with a small handbag, he carried a wine-coloured prayer mat.
The 25-year-old remains deeply grounded in his spirituality. A practising Muslim, Kudus never hides his commitment to prayer.
On matchdays, he often brings his mat with him, taking time to pray either before kick-off or after the final whistle, depending on the schedule. For him, football and faith walk hand in hand.
Kudus’ actions serve as a reminder that players are more than the goals they score or the assists they provide.
During his stint at West Ham, the Nima-born forward explained the importance of prayer and the place of prayer in his routine before games.
"I always get a quiet space in our stadium, and whenever we go to an away stadium, they always find a space for me. It’s important as it’s something I hold in high regard,” he told WHUFC.
Adding to the conversation, Awal Mohammed Hudu, a devout Muslim and sports journalist with Kessben Media, shared with YEN.com.gh:
“Mohammed Kudus’ quiet but firm commitment to Islam, expressed openly and without hesitation, shows a man who carries his faith everywhere.
"With the season still in its early days, Spurs fans are not only eager for more magic from Kudus on the pitch but are also learning to admire the person he is off it.
"Insha’Allah, may he remain injury-free and continue blessing the team with goals and assists.”

Aside from his club commitments, the 25-year-old is expected to carry his rich vein of form to the Black Stars.
The senior men's national team will resume qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup next month with a doubleheader against Chad and Mali.
According to Goal, victories in those two games will all but seal Ghana's spot in the global showpiece, with Kudus expected to play an integral role.
Kudus backed to deliver standout moment this season
