Together, the couple gave birth to a son, Juan Pablo in 1977 and a daughter, Manuela Escobar in 1984. The drug lord was accused of infidelity countless times but his wife never left his side most probably because of the extravagant lifestyle that the drug money had granted the family. After the death of her husband Maria Victoria Henao moved out of Columbia in 1994 to seek asylum together with her two kids. The government of Columba seized the husband’s money leaving the family broke.
They moved from one country to another before settling in Argentina. Maria Victoria Henao and her son got incarcerated in 2000 for 15 months on charges of money laundering. The two were later released due to insufficient evidence.
