They were picked up from the Akropong palace, and are currently being detained at the Eastern Regional Police Command.
The reason for the arrest is unclear at the moment, but it is believed to be as a result of claims to the Akropong stool, which has resulted in clashes between youth groups in the area.
George Darko, also a sub-chief, with the stool name Tufohene was alleged to be asleep when the security men stormed the palace at dawn.
George Darko rose to fame with hit tunes such as ‘Akoo Ti Brofo’ and ‘Osee Yie’ in the 1980’s.
He has six albums to his credit.
