Did TV3 intentionally cut off transmission as Nana Aba Anamoah presented an award at the VGMA?

The 19th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came off on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Accra International Conference Centre.

As expected there were the highs and the lows usually associated with events. Inasmuch as there were top performances from music icons such as Sarkodie and Samini, a few hitches stole the shine from the event.

One of such ‘challenges’ was a sudden loss of transmission from TV3, the official television partner for the event.

Coincidentally, this was during the presentation of an award by Nana Aba Anamoah, a former employee of TV3.

Despite an official apology from TV3, social media users did not take kindly to the act, as it was perceived as intentional:

The top award of the day, the Artiste of The Year Award, was posthumously awarded to Ebony, lost her life in a road accident on Thursday, February 8, 2018.
