He revealed that he won one award in 2017 and managed to double his tally at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) which was held at the Accra International Conference on April 14.

Commenting on the lamentation of some of the ‘losing’ artistes, Fancy Gadam said he won because it was his time to shine. He called on the disgruntled artistes who felt cheated to also wait for their time to shine.

It has been reported that Fancy Gadam garnered an impressive 80,000 votes in the category of ‘Song of the Year’. His closest rival in the category managed a meagre 10,000 votes, railing by a whopping 70,000 votes.

Fancy Gadam’s song, ‘Total Cheat’ was adjudged the ‘Most Popular Song’ in 2017 beating the likes of Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’.

Patapaa, who appeared gutted by the decision to pick Fancy Gadam’s song over his song, alleged that the Northern region-based musician had paid a bribe for his award.
