I deserved more awards - Captain Planet cries out

Captain Planet of music group 4X4 Has said he that he deserved to win more awards at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards rather than the only one he was awarded.

Captain Planet picked up five nominations for this year’s awards ceremony but emerged winner of only one of them.

The artiste who has obviously not been happy with how the awards went said the awards were not given to deserving individuals but rather were distributed like shots of local gin, “Akpeteshie”.

“I want to tell the VGMA Board to stop sharing the awards like Akpeteshie shots and give it to the deserving people. I had five nominations and won only one award but I think I deserved more because Obi Agyi Obi Girl did marvelously well in the year under review,” Captain Planet said.

Captain Planet is part of the 4x4 music group which seems to be hanging now. The musician became the toast of music lovers when he released his hit track "Obi Agyi Obi Girl".
