My mother is my only ‘master’ – Countryman Songo

Controversial Ghanaian sports journalist, Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as Countryman Songo, has revealed there is only one person in the world who can call him to ‘order’.

According to Songo, the only person who can make him sober, and whip him in line is his biological mother.

Countryman Songo, is widely known for his controversial disposition in Ghana football, and also a king in his own right on his sports show.

However, speaking in an interview with Hitz FM, as monitored by Myjoyonline.com, the ‘Fire Man’ disclosed that his mother and grandmother are the only people who can calm him down when he ‘heats up beyond control’.

The ‘Fire for Fire’ man in his interview told the host that whenever his mom speaks to him, he becomes very sober irrespective of the state he finds himself.

‘"My mom is my master...she directs me and she tells me her mind any time she feels like," he said.

Songo in further comments insisted that he loves reggae and would have loved to have dreadlocks, but he can’t stand the ‘heat’ from both his grandmother and mother since they frown on that.

"I would love to wear dreadlocks but my mom and my grandmother have a problem with it...they will not permit me to have dreadlocks. Even though I am old enough to take decisions for myself, I am so down for my mom and my grandmother," he said.
