Uber driver on the run for beating up a female passenger

YEN.com.gh has sighted a photo of an Uber driver by name Nana who allegedly beat up a female passenger.

The driver was infuriated by the discount this female passenger had on her ride and so decided to beat her up.

This was disclosed by a brother of the female passenger who was beaten, Nii Abu Martey, via Facebook.

According to the brother’s narration, the Uber driver sped off when the sister started shouting for help because she couldn’t withstand the beating the driver was meting out to her.

The brother revealed further that as soon as he suspected some people rushing to the car to save the female passenger, Nana, the Uber driver sped off on high speed.

His car number, according to Nii Abu Martey, brother of the victim, is GS 8560-17.

He also indicated that his family is ready to take legal action against Uber.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh has sighted the response of Uber on this issue, declaring their willingness to probe the matter further.

They have asked the victim’s brother to send them a private message of the driver’s details so they could have the issue investigated right away.

This is not the first time such a case is coming up against the Uber app and Uber Drivers so this has made Ghanaians very angry.

For instance, Mireku Agyepong, who seems to have had a similar encounter with Uber before complained about the attack.
