Berlin is the capital city of the country. With a land area of 891.68 square kilometres and a population of almost 3.8 million, it happens to be the largest city in Germany. Berlin comes second in a list of the most populous cities in the European Union, with London being the most populated. It was once divided into East and West Berlin after the Second World War until Germany became reunited in 1990. The city is well-known for having one of the best clubs in Europe such as Hertha Berlin which is in the German Bundesliga. It is also a great city that has high technology firms and services.

It is also a tourist attraction site for both the locals and foreigners. Apart from being a major education hub, it is also a highly regarded city when it comes to major European science and research. It is the second largest port in Europe; it is also a broad corporate base. It has various media channels that cut across from regional broadcasting to print media.

This is one of the many cities that are situated within the state of Hesse with a population of 736,414 people and 248.31 square kilometres. This is the largest city in the Rhine Franconian dialect area. It was once an area of interest because it was associated with the Holy Roman Empire. It is also a major tourist attraction site, offers high-level communication, commerce and education. It is also a very rich city when it comes to culture. 6. Leipzig

This is one of the many cities and towns in Germany, situated within the state of Lower Saxony. It is also commonly referred to as Hannover in some cases. It is the capital city of the Lower Saxony state. It is Germany’s thirteenth largest city, accommodating around 518,000 people at the size of 204.14 square kilometres. The Nazis were well-concentrated in this area of Germany. The city has a central railway station which was built in honour of Ernst August. The state opera building is as well harboured in its original classical nineteenth-century opera house. It also has a market church within its environs. Along with all these attraction sites, there is the old town hall. The city also has a river running through it that goes by the name River Leine. Its architecture is also on point with buildings such as the Waterloo Column, Anzeiger Tower Block (which is very beautiful at night due to the lighting) and the aerial view which can be well-captured from a hot air balloon.

It is well-proven by the nature of the buildings that have been put into realization by the architects in the city. It has the headquarters for BMW, which stands for Bavarian Motor Works or Bayerische Motoren Werke. It is also the motherland of the world- class team, Bayern Munich, which is one of the best clubs in Germany, Europe and the world. The city is also famous for its breweries and beers.
