I'm yet to receive my prizes - Miss Pink 2016 Perpetual Webana cries

A beauty queen is still chasing organisers of the pageant for her prize, two years after she was crowned.

The beauty queen, Perpetual Konadu Webana was crowned Miss Pink 2016 with the promise of some mouth-watering prizes.

The prizes, YEN.com.gh gathered, included Pink Hyundai i10 car, GH6000, a trip to Europe, a one-year working contract with Ram media concepts and a variety of souvenirs from other sponsors.

But as the time of this report, the organisers, Ram Media Concepts had failed to deliver any of the prizes to the winner.

But speaking to YEN.com.gh, Pepertual Konadu Webana revealed that apart from not receiving her prizes, she has also incurred some costs during her reign which have all not been paid.

According to her, as part of her duties as the winner, she had to go on a sensitization campaign against breast cancer which was supposed to be funded by the organisers but she ended up funding it with the support of her manager.

"The prizes for all the contestants were not given apart from the crown

"The breast cancer project itself which was the main reason for the pageant was poorly organized but with the sole support of my manager, I did more than seven Breast Cancer programmes including free screening, education and counselling.

"I took a trip to Kumasi to join BCI in observing Breast Cancer Awareness month in 2016 on behalf of Miss Pink Ghana organizers and Ram Media Concepts but I paid for the trip by myself with the agreement that they will pay me back the money I spent on the trip," she told YEN.com.gh.

Touching on her efforts to get the prizes delivered to her, Perpetual stated "my manager made several efforts to meet the Ram Media Concepts team to straighten up events and claim my prizes and refund of all the expenses on all programmes I organized but all to no avail due non-availability of the team.

The Miss Pink Beauty was organised by Ram Concepts in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

The main aim of the pageant was to select an Ambassador who would lead a crusade against Breast Cancer In the society.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh's attempts to reach Ram Concepts for their side of the story have proved futile.
