Gifty Gyan wants DNA test to be done at Police Hospital and not private laboratory

The wife of Asamoah Gyan, Gifty Gyan, is requesting that the DNA test for her three children should be done at the Police Hospital and not a private laboratory.

Asamoah and Gifty are currently in court as the Black Stars captain wants to annul their marriage.

Despite looking to end their five-year marriage, the former Sunderland goal poacher also wants a DNA test to ascertain whether the three kids he has with Gifty are really his children.

But according to report by MyNewsGh.com sighted by YEN.com.gh, Gifty has called for the test to be done at the Police Hospital under the supervision of officials from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) instead of the private hospital.

“I don’t think she is afraid of the results. I escorted her to the airport when she was going back. She was just very down but on the DNA she seemed to be very sure of herself. She said she feels down because she is hurt by many things," the family source said.

The report indicates that, Gifty wants the DNA test to be done at the Police Hospital because she is afraid that the result can be tampered with if it is done at a private laboratory.

YEN.com.gh had previously reported a story of how Asamoah Gyan was schooled in court two weeks ago after he was directed by the court to amend the name of his wife on his application for annulment of the marriage.

Gyan was ordered by the court after he referred to his wife as Gifty Oware (her maiden name) instead of Gifty Gyan.
