Per a report by Citinewsroom.com, the letter is dated June 18, 2019, and requires acceptance or otherwise from Owusu, within 14 days of receipt of letter.

The offer follows measures being implemented at the GRA to boost domestic revenue mobilisation.

YEN.com.gh understands that over the past two years, poor performance of domestic revenue has led to government having to cut its expenditure to keep fiscal consolidation on track.

Owusu, who had to leave his post at the GMA amidst scandals relating to 13 air conditioners and other issues, has the responsibility of proving critics wrong by delivering on an increase in domestic revenue.

In another report, the chief executive officer of embattled gold dealership company, Nana Appiah Mensah, has been arrested on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport.

He is currently at the Criminal Investigations Department CID) of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) after he was handed over by the National Security operatives, who arrested him when he touched down.

He was picked up on the tarmac of the Kotoka International Airport upon his arrival from the UAE.
