The exercise was enjoyed by over 3000 residents of Anomabo and according to physician and GMR’s president, Dr. Samuel Kwapong Owusu, of immense concern was the number of fibroid cases recorded through the screening of women.
He therefore took the opportunity to urge the members of the community, especially the women, to have regular medical checks.
This, he explained, would help ensure early detection of medical conditions so that treatment could be provided.
Per a report by 3news.com, the GMR team visited Asiakwa in the Eastern region and performed the same exercise there.
At the end to the Central regional exercise, the team called on former president John Kufuor, and expressed interest in a partnership with the JAK Foundation.
In other news, YEN.com.gh understands that leaked portions of a phone conversation between two former United States of America (USA) presidents recorded Ronald Reagan describing Africans as “monkeys.”
The tapes were published by The Atlantic, and the description formed part of a conversation between Reagan, then the governor of California, and the then president, Richard Nixon.
The year was 1971 and African delegates at the United Nations (UN) were expected to play a role in a decision to recognize China and expel Taiwan from the UN.
Per a report by citinewsroom.com, Nixon habitually recorded all phone conversation and the depiction was therefore captured on tape.
Reports reveal that the Tanzanian delegation took to the floor and began dancing at the UN General Assembly.
