Certainly there is a dancehall music kingdom here in Ghana, and perhaps its reigning king is dancehall stalwart, Shatta Wale, whose fanatic 'worshipers' continue to prove their love and loyalty to the ‘shattadom’.

When news first broke that Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior, famed as Shatta Wale had been involved in an accident, fans of the Ghanaian artiste swiftly reacted with rebuttals to disprove what they labelled as ‘‘fake news’’ while quite a few appeared down-hearted and broken.

Others were beyond hopeful that Shatta WALE would not die in the alleged car accident.

On Monday, August 4, 2019, photos and videos with captions alleging that the reigning dancehall national sensation had been involved in a car accident ‘ravaged’ the internet.

However, fresh details that emerged hours after, revealed that the car that was involved in the crash was not Shatta’s but Dr. Kofi Abban's.

Reports indicate that Shatta Wale chanced on the accident scene.And rightly so, his fans were happy for his life.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the accident happened on Founders’ Day, August 5, 2019.

While the car was neither one of Shatta Wale's nor was he the one driving, earlier news about his involvement sparked mixed reactions from the SM 'soldiers’.

While details are still sketchy, the owner of the Black Benz involved in the accident is Dr. Kofi Abban, the man who settled the intense rift between brought Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
