Dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has splashed 60,000 dollars (over 300,000 cedis) on a new customised diamond encrusted necklace.
The custom-made necklace has Shatta Wale's famous SM4Lyf with the two hand symbol.
According to Shatta Wale, the beautiful-looking new necklace has 1,500 stones and it cost $60,000.
Sharing a video of his new acquisition on social media, Shatta Wale wrote: "1500 diamonds stones on the “SYMBOL OF HOPE”(SM4LYF) $60k on my neck !!! "
The video shared by Shatta Wale has received mixed reactions from his Instagram followers who has sighted it.
While many of his fans have his purchase, they are some people who have stated that the necklace was either a wasteful expenditure or not worth the $60,000 Shatta Wale claimed was the price.
@mslee39 thought the money could have been used for ventures that would help the youth: "This could have been spent to help the youth of Ghana in your community where you came from ijs. I think your an amazing artist tho. I’m just an American so I don’t know how they do it in Africa."
