Nigerian man narrates how he fraudulently acquired Ghanaian documents

- In an attempt to belong to the Ghanaian society, a Nigerian national had to forge documents to acquire a Ghanaian passport

- Unfortunately for him, luck eluded him when the National Security chanced upon him at the passport office

- He had already used similar fraudulent means to acquire a birth certificate and a voter’s ID card

National Security Operatives have arrested a Nigerian national for attempting to illegally acquire a Ghanaian passport.

But for the timely arrival and intervention of the Operatives at the Passport Office in Accra, the Nigerian man with the name Don Ofori Donny would have successfully obtained a Ghanaian passport.

Speaking in an interview with Joy News at the headquarters of the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI), the suspect said he wanted to be a known as a Ghanaian.

“I am a Nigerian who has been based in Ghana for a long time…I have been part of the people and I made myself part of the people so I decided to do everything [the people do],” he said.

According to the report, he had already used similar fraudulent means to acquire a birth certificate and a voter’s ID card.

In other news, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of Nana Fodour, the owner of Sikka FM.

Nana was stabbed many times by armed men leading to his sad death on Sunday, August 18, 2019, as YEN.com.gh reported earlier.

One of the suspects, according to a report seen by YEN.com.gh on Myjoyonline.com, is a close friend and confidant of Nana Fodour.
