Nigerians should have a Veep like Bawumia to grow the economy - Nigerian writer

- A section of the Nigerian public have hailed the economic prowess and intelligence of vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia

- According to reports, they have no economist with sound economic theories to run the Nigerian economy

- They however wish he served as a vice to President Buhari

Information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that a section of Nigerian public have hailed the economic prowess and intelligence of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as they wished he served as a vice to their president.

According to the report sighted on a Nigerian online portal, punchng.com, it observed that Nigeria had no popular economist and sound economic theory with which they were running their economy.

Oye Arikanki, who wrote the article, stated that unlike Ghana where Dr Bawumia served as head of the Economic Management Team, Nigeria had none.

“Bawumia is doing a yeoman’s job in carrying out a comprehensive implementation of digitalisation in all government’s ministries and departments which has increased government revenue and facilitates ease of doing business.

Bawumia’s theory of using digitisation to drive government systems has reduced wastages and driven revenue generation thus making government delivery of policies more efficient," the writer said

The writer further stated that the Ghanaian economy on the part of predictive and progressive growth. Adding that by 2020, all government payment in Ghana will go electronic.

In other news, highlife legend Daddy Lumba is set to release his latest song for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2020 general elections.

The song, which is titled ‘One District One Factory’ is in honour of the achievements of President Akufo-Addo.

The multiple award-winning artiste is a known supporter of the NPP and has previously composed campaign songs for the party.
