Year of Return: Nicki Minaj states her readiness to visit Ghana in new video

- Nicki Minaj has stated that Ghana is one of the countries she wants to visit so badly

- Nicki Minaj in an interview said she cannot wait to finally come down to Ghana

- Though Nicki Minaj has fans in other parts of Africa, she maintains that she will love to find Ghana and visit.

American female rapper and model, Nicki Minaj, has stated that if there is any African country she will love to visit immediately, then it is Ghana.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on Instagram, Nicki Minaj stated how excited she is about her plans to visit Ghana.

The video shows Nicki Minaj in an interview at a Radio Station in the US saying that though she has got lots of requests from her South Africa and Nigerian fans, she would rather want to visit ghana first.

"I can wait to go to Ghana actually. You know I haven't been anywhere out there," Nicki Minaj who is also an actress said in the video.

Ghana has become the scene of nonstop visits from famous Black American and Carribean celebrities as they pass through to mark the 'Year of Return', an initiative set aside by the government to commemorate 400 years of the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in Jamestown, Virginia.

Since this initiative began many African Americans have made their way into the country to learn more about their history.

Some include Steve Harvey, Samuel L Jackson, Anthony Anderson, Micheal Jai White, Boris Kodjoe, Nicole Ari Parker, Diggy Simmons and many others.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh also reported that famous American rapper, T.I. and his wife had visited the Elmina Castle as part of their visit to Ghana.

As part of the on-going 'Year of Return' campaign, T.I. is part of the top American celebrities to have visited Ghana.

Since he arrived with his wife and team, T.I. has visited some monumental places and the Elmina Castle happens to be the latest place he has visited.
