Sad photos and video emerge online as fire damages properties at St Francis SHS
- Fire has destroyed items belonging to students of the St Charles Minor Seminary Senior High School in Tamale, Northern region.
- Eight out of nine rooms of the Cardinal Dery dormitory were totally damaged and fire officers had to come in to quench the fire
- This is the second time fire has destroyed property in the school in recent years; the first was in March 2017

Information available to YEN.com.gh shows that fire has destroyed personal belongings of students in a dormitory at the St Charles Minor Seminary Senior High School in Tamale, Northern region.
The situation has rendered the students homeless as eight out of the nine rooms of the Cardinal Dery dormitory were completely damaged.
The incident occurred in the afternoon of Monday, January 6, 2020, around 12:29pm, when the students were in class.

Per a report by Ghana Web, it was not until officers from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) arrived that the fire was brought under control.
YEN.com.gh has learned that a similar fire outbreak occurred in March 2017 and it destroyed two dormitory blocks in the school.
This forced the school to make use of only two rooms as dormitories for all the students.

In other news, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ayawaso West, Hon. Sandra Owusu-Ahinkorah has given out cash and gifts to 26 people with disabilities in her municipal assembly valued at GHc45000.
According to her, the donation forms part of the assembly’s fund for People With Disabilities (PWDs).

YEN.com.gh understands that two of the beneficiaries received sewing machines and money to venture into sewing apprenticeship in the municipal assembly.
