She was born Deborah Nana Yaa Brefo. According to Nana Yaa, her father decided to erase Deborah from her name when she was a child.
Nana Yaa indicated in an interview with Kofi TV that she never used Deborah when she was in school.
Many Ghanaian celebrities are not enthused to reveal their real age. For Nana Yaa, she is not shy to make her real age known.
According to Nana Yaa, she was born on December 31, 1977, meaning she will be 43 years coming this December.
