Akwasi Antwi disclosed he was introduced to the movie scene by veteran actor Daniel Adeleye, who invited him to join his friend Osei Tutu to shoot a movie.

He, however, credited Osei Tutu as the person that aligned him to the profession, revealing his journey to acting began when he escorted Osei Tutu to rehearse for a movie at Genesis Night Club directed by Richmond Afrane.

Akwasi Antwi disclosed that though he initially hesitated, he joined Osei Tutu on set and was asked to join the cast to practice, joining them for the actual shoot at a later day.

With the experience from the rehearsal, he was asked to play the role in the movie after the person originally billed to cast failed to make it.

Akwasi Antwi indicated the director and other major players for the movie urged him to return to play other scenes because of his impressive performance on set.
