Covid-19: Ghana's active cases drop to 25, over half a million vaccines administered

Recent figures from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) show that Ghana’s Covid-19 cases have dropped to 25.

So far, 555,259 vaccine doses have been administered to the arms of over 250, 000 Ghanaians, the GHS has stated.

Ghana’s nationwide inoculation program has been commended by many including the World Bank which believes the economy will grow by some 2 percent in 2021.

Despite the gains, government is leaving nothing to chance. So far, police officials have been deployed across all beaches in coastal areas. This is to ensure that revelers do not flout Covid protocol.

You can only get a visa to Germany if you are going to study, have relatives there or going for an emergency health procedure.

The German Ambassador to Ghana, Christoph Retzlaff, in an interview with Charles Ayitey on Joy Business revealed that the Federal State has introduced new travel restrictions because of the Coronavirus Pandemic in the country.

“We are only granting visas on the grounds of health, study and visiting a relative in Germany. Aside from these all other applications can’t be accepted, unfortunately,” he stated.

Traveling to Canada

The Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana, Kati Csaba, says all the inline materials you need to apply for a Canadian Visa are free of charge.

Speaking to Charles Ayitey of Joy News, the High Commissioner also noted that getting a visa to Canada is not easy.

“Getting a visa to Canada demands a rigorous process. It is not easy. So long as you have your documents right, you will be granted a visa,” she stated.

Canada has been the go-to destination for many Ghanaians and Africans over the past few years as potential is available to school and work there. Meanwhile, the High Commissioner has stated that 40,000 Ghanaians are currently living or working in Canada.
