The host of Good Evening Ghana, Paul Adom-Otchere has clapped back at the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
Asiedu Nketia slammed Adom-Otchere for a terribly poor political analysis.
This follows Paul Adom-Otchere's paring of the NDC General Secretary with the Speaker of Parliament as the NDC’s potential candidates for the 2024 elections.
Speaking on Asempa FM, he described the political analysis of Adom-Otchere about which flagbearer will lead the NDC, as a village lotto forecaster who is analyzing lotto numbers
Whenever I see it, I see it as someone who is working for lotto numbers. How can you pair Asiedu Nketia, John Mahama, Bagbin…like a village lotto forecaster…the analysis is not scientific.”
In response to Asiedu Nketia's statement, Adom-Otchere said what he does on his show “is called scholarly political analysis from the stables of Cicero."
He added that Asiedu Nketia does not understand his analysis because he studied administration at Legon school of admin so he is not familiar with it.”
“That is not lotto, maybe the only forecast Asiedu Nketia knows is lotto but that is analysis. He himself used the word ‘analysis’ so weare analyzing; we do not know who the NDC will select and we didn’t say here that we had spoken to any NDC guy." he said.
He also rejected the claim that his analysis was aimed at sowing discord within the NDC.
Still, on the NDC, the party’s national communications director has stated that former President John Dramani Mahama will be the NDC’s presidential candidate for the 2024 general elections.
Sammy Gyamfi said the former president will be the flagbearer “by hook or crook.”
Gyamfi disclosed this while addressing students at the University of Cape Coast as filed by Ghanaweb.
