A resilient 25-year-old Ghanaian man has recently granted an interview where he opened up about some of the challenges he encountered after losing a leg.
In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh on Oheneba Media, Atta Kofi Adam shared that he lost his leg through an accident while at work and had to run out of the hospital he was admitted at because he could not afford the medical bill.
Atta Kofi recounted his story in detail, stating that he used to work with a timber company, and on one working day, the timber truck he and his colleagues were on board was involved in an accident that cost him a leg.
He revealed that he had no one to rely on while at the hospital, and all who promised to cater for his hospital bills disappointed him.

The young man decided to leave the phone number of one of the people who promised him support at the hospital, after which he ran off.
Kofi added that for the days he spent at the hospital, he received support from the other patients' families.
Sharing more about some of the challenges his condition has brought, Kofi said he often experiences hostility from individuals and job owners who are unwilling to engage him at their companies.
He said he currently performs at various functions and from that he earns some income to fend for himself.
