Several celebrities joined Ghanaian politician and Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohene to celebrate his 35th birthday.

The politician turned 35 years old on September 24, 2025. That day also marked his third wedding anniversary.

Kumawood filmmakers Mercy Asiedu, Michael Afrane and Wayoosi visited the regional minister's office on his birthday.

The stars eagerly waited at Dr Amoakohene's office until he arrived. A saxophonist from the MesDua band, owned by Mercy Asiedu, hurried to serenade the minister as he alighted from his chauffeured vehicle.

The gesture took him by surprise. It was a heartwarming moment as the Kumawood stars took turns to wish Dr Amoakohene well on his birthday.

Some celebrities who couldn't attend the event at Amoakohene's office sent their well-wishes via social media.

Asafo Powers, popularly known as Killa Ntua, posted a video wishing the minister well.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Kwaku Manu shared a touching birthday message with the minister saying,

"I pray that the Lord grants you wisdom like he did Solomon so you can excel as Ashanti Regional Minister."

The Kumawood industry has grown a strong affinity to the new minister who was appointed in January this year, following his victory as Ghana's president in the 2024 elections.

Reports indicate that the politician featured in several movies before beginning his stint as a regional minister.

Dr Frank Amoakohene's 35th birthday celebrated

Dr Frank Amoakohene hails his wife

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Dr Frank Amoakohene had expressed his admiration and gratitude toward his wife, Juliet.

On social media, the politician sent a heartwarming message to mark their third wedding anniversary.

In the message, Dr Amoakohene hailed his wife and described the beautiful mother of their two children as one of the best decisions in his life.
