Kasoa Lovers Spat Leads to 26-Year-Old Seamstress Being Stabbed to Death by Boyfriend

A 27-year-old man has been arrested over the stabbing of his girlfriend at Chinese Down near Kasoa Toll Booth in the Ga South Municipality.

The suspect, known as Sammy, stabbed her because she denied him sex.

Citi News reported that the victim has been identified as a 26-year-old seamstress, Mabel Asantewaa.

The stabbing occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

According to eyewitness accounts, Sammy stabbed Mabel multiple times before attempting to save her.

A neighbour said Sammy later called for help, prompting residents to forcibly break into the room.

They found Mabel dead while Sammy had taken ill after ingesting an unknown substance.

The suspect is currently receiving treatment at the Amanfrom Polyclinic under police guard, while officers investigate the incident.
