A friend of the famous Ghanaian TikToker Osanju has shared new details about his passing.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on Facebook, the upset young man seemed to be in denial.

Looking distraught, he disclosed that Osanju had phoned him on Sunday, August 31, 2025, before his passing.

He said that in their final conversation, the socialite opened up about his plan to shoot a video with him and urged him to meet the next day.

"Yesterday, he had been pressuring me to come so we could film. Eii, not knowing he was bidding me farewell," he said in disbelief.

Details of Osanju's passing after health battle

Netizens were thrown into sorrow after it was confirmed on Monday, September 1, 2025, that popular TikTok star Osanju had passed away following a brief illness.

His death came just hours after he posted a video reacting to the Barcelona vs. Rayo Vallecano match, and months after his mother, Madam Victoria Amonu, was laid to rest in January 2025.

Osanju’s battle with leukaemia

A video resurfaced online of Osanju openly discussing his long battle with chronic myeloid leukaemia, which he had been living with for over five years.

He had previously spoken about the financial burden of his treatment and the support he received from fans and well-wishers.

Despite his struggles, Osanju continued creating content, which allowed him to stay connected with his audience throughout his health challenges.

Physician reacts to Osanju's leukaemia diagnosis

In a comment to YEN.com.gh, physician assistant Antwi Calvary shed light on the disease, detailing the nature of leukaemia.

"It is possible that a blood clot led to a vascular blockage. When a clot forms near the heart, the chances of survival are low. Leukaemia can also lead to blood infections, as it essentially affects the body’s ability to fight illness."

Social media users who took to the comments section of the post expressed their pain that the vibrant content creator was gone.
