Osanju’s death was reported by gossips24tv, who shared a post on Instagram on Monday, September 1, 2025.

“Ghanaian content creator and influencer, Osanju, is dead. He unfortunately passed on last night after watching a football match of his favourite team, Barcelona,” the post read.

The TikToker's mother, Veronica Frimpong, also passed away five months ago, having been diagnosed with the same illness, leukaemia. This information sparked reactions from many about whether blood cancer is hereditary or not.

Osanju: Ghanaian man raises awareness on leukaemia

Commenting on this, Yeboah advised Ghanaians, especially parents, to be more cautious about some daily practices that could increase their risk of developing the disease.

According to Agyekum, who is apparently a medical laboratory scientist, eating food directly from rubber bags can lead to blood cancer. He disclosed that doing such is not ideal because the chemicals from the bags can seep through into meals.

He also highlighted the dangers that Ghanaian farmers frequently face in exposing themselves to pesticides and unwanted grass control. He added that those who work in the mortuaries and constantly in contact with formaldehyde are susceptible to the illness.

According to him, such exposures can trigger genetic mutations that may lead to leukaemia, a type of blood cancer. He urged Ghanaians to be vigilant about their food handling and environmental exposures.
