Gambian Migrant in Ghana Calls the Country the Best Among Six He Has Visited, Video

A Gambian man based in Ghana has stirred conversations after sharing his thoughts about the country, months after relocating.

A Ghanaian content creator, identified as Gosher, shared the moment when he had a conversation with the Gambian man who relocated to Ghana in search of better opportunities.

After being identified by his nationality, the unnamed foreigner was asked to share more of his thoughts about Ghana. According to him, he had been in the country for about three months, and he admires Ghana because of its serene atmosphere.

Gambian national praises Ghana

While expressing his deep admiration for Ghana, he disclosed that, amongst the six countries he had visited in his lifetime, Ghana happens to be the best of them all. He also praised its citizens for being peaceful and welcoming.

When asked why he came to the country, he explained that when he jetted in the first time, he was intrigued and decided to settle down and work permanently. He also stated his plans to bring his family over.

In his words:

"I plan to bring them here. Even my son, I plan to bring him to continue his schooling here. That’s why I’m working hard to achieve something."

When asked about the food, he enthusiastically explained that he now prefers the Ghanaian dish fufu over rice, a staple in The Gambia. He humorously stated that fufu makes him strong and hardworking.

He said:

"I don’t eat rice because in Gambia, they eat rice every day. I eat fufu. You know, you see, I’m very strong and hardworking because I don’t eat rice."

He also highlighted a significant positive experience at the border, noting that the Ghanaian border crossing is the best because officials do not harass travellers for money, unlike in other countries he has entered.

Black American tourist calls Ghana home

YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that a Black American tourist said his fifth visit to Ghana, which counted as his first solo trip, confirmed the country felt like home.

He appreciated being warmly welcomed at the airport, where several people greeted him with heartfelt words that gave him a sense of belonging.

The tourist described the journey as a true homecoming and disclosed plans to settle permanently in Ghana.
