Gambian national praises Ghana
While expressing his deep admiration for Ghana, he disclosed that, amongst the six countries he had visited in his lifetime, Ghana happens to be the best of them all. He also praised its citizens for being peaceful and welcoming.
When asked why he came to the country, he explained that when he jetted in the first time, he was intrigued and decided to settle down and work permanently. He also stated his plans to bring his family over.
In his words:
"I plan to bring them here. Even my son, I plan to bring him to continue his schooling here. That’s why I’m working hard to achieve something."
When asked about the food, he enthusiastically explained that he now prefers the Ghanaian dish fufu over rice, a staple in The Gambia. He humorously stated that fufu makes him strong and hardworking.
He said:
"I don’t eat rice because in Gambia, they eat rice every day. I eat fufu. You know, you see, I’m very strong and hardworking because I don’t eat rice."
He also highlighted a significant positive experience at the border, noting that the Ghanaian border crossing is the best because officials do not harass travellers for money, unlike in other countries he has entered.
