During an interview, the man of God stated that the church had been experiencing some spiritual turmoil following the death of its founder, Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, in February 2023.
Apostle Francis's claim comes after some frustrated members of the RPNGC stormed the church premises on September 7, 2025, in a bid to protest.
The motive behind the action was to express their displeasure with the church's management and demand an accounting of the church's finances. Some inscriptions on the placards read: “No account, no preaching,” “Boat and Naa must go,” among others.
Apostle Francis weighs in on RPNGC crisis
Commenting on such actions, Apostle Francis recounted feeling profound fear and sleeplessness after receiving a spiritual vision, which compelled him to preach about the urgent need for prayer ("Bo mpae").

According to the clergyman, he had a dream in which the late founder appeared to him, crying and urging him to pray for the church, stating that its current state was not what he had founded. The Apostle reportedly shared this dream during a sermon on April 20, 2025.
In the video, he explained that a significant spiritual event had occurred, which he described as "heaven has closed," leading to impending judgment. He emphasised that this is a spiritual battle and called for intercession for the poor against the "greedy."
The interviewer also corroborated the intensity of the situation, referencing calls and videos from Pokuase around the time of the Apostle's April 20th message, a date the Apostle confirmed as central to these events.
