In a video spotted by YEN.com.gh, the unnamed Nigerian woman narrated how she was invited to a burial by a Ghanaian friend of hers whose grandmother had passed away.

The Nigerian in the video was seated at a table filled with various dishes. She expressed her amazement at the quantity and quality of food she received just from one Ghanaian burial. She also detailed the items she brought back from the event.

In the video, she displayed multiple packed plates of jollof rice, banku with tilapia, drinks such as Asana and Hollandia yoghurt, and two bottles of water.

In her words:

"I went to my friend's grandmother's funeral. So, these are all the things that I came back with. Jollof with fish. Another jollof, like two plates of jollof. This is Banku and Tilapia. This is tilapia... with banku. This is Asana (a local drink). From one funeral. Two Hollandia yoghurts."

She playfully used this experience to counter the "Nigerians must go" sentiment from Ghanaians, repeatedly asking "Go where?" and declaring she has no intention of leaving a country with such generous hospitality.

She said:

"Then later, somebody will tell me, 'Nigerians must go.' Go where? Go where?!"

She jokingly attributed her haul to "crying a lot" at the funeral, a common trope at Ghanaian burials. She ended by humorously inviting herself to more funerals, but with a specific condition: they should only be for the elderly, not for young people.

She added:

"Any funeral, but not for a young person, oh. When it's your aged mother, your aged father, grandmother... invite me. I now have a white outfit... I will wear white (Aso white). I now have white. Invite me. Not the young ones, I beg. Old, aged parents, grandmothers. Then I will cry and dance!"
